Ayurveda and Yoga For Optimal Living
Ayurveda and Yoga are sister sciences, and belong to one another. Without one the other is incomplete, and our understanding of either on its own may be greatly flawed, thus limiting our ability to truly expand to the fullest of our potential. Yoga is the science of spiritual cultivation, while Ayurveda is the science of the environment, the elements, and the food we eat and how it affects every individual differently. By bringing these two sciences together we can begin to understand our own individual constitution (known as Prakruti), and the current state of balances and imbalances in each of our Doshas (known as Vikruti). Doshas are combinations of elements that make up each individual. By understanding our individual Doshas we can tailor our diet and our lifestyle choices to suit us best and help us achieve optimal health and well being. One of the fundamental flaws in many systems of medicine or self care is that each of us is built uniquely. In reference to our Yoga practice this is very important, because the type of Yoga practice that is helpful to one individual may actually be harmful to another.
This workshop is a great opportunity to learn about Yoga and Ayurveda alongside one another and bring these sister sciences together to empower, educate and transform our lives in incredible ways.
